Come join us for this FREE event to learn more about strokes and how they can affect you or a loved one All Day Activities include: • Stroke risk assessments, including blood pressure, cholesterol checks, and blood sugar testing • Dietary education • Pharmacy consultations • Simulated stroke experiences and treatments, including the latest ZeroG technology • Balance testing and cognition screenings (appointments strongly recommended) • Information from more than 20 community resources Speakers will include: • 10 - 11 a.m.- Managing Emotions to Support Health: Skills to Reduce Emotional Distress, presented by Elizabeth Page, Heart Math Certified Mentor and Trainer. • 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. - Free Lunch & Learn (reservation required), Stroke and Emotional Recovery, presented by Dr. Mitchell L. Gelber, Ed.D., PC, Licensed Psychologist. • 1 - 2 p.m. – Act FAST! Know the Signs and Symptoms of Stroke, presented by Erin Aafedt, Speech Language Pathologist.
