Job Description
Reporting to the Associate Dean of Career & Technical Education at the Chino Valley Center, the incumbent will be responsible for instruction of basic and advanced carpentry skills as part of the Construction Building Technology discipline. The carpentry instructor will be responsible for classroom and field training in rough and finish carpentry, including skills such as workplace expectations and safe work practices, protective clothing, proper use of carpentry tools and equipment, measuring and layout, basic masonry, cutting and shaping, assembling, and installation of floors, walls, roofs, windows, and ceilings. The carpentry instructor will also work with local subcontractors and vendors to facilitate materials purchase and build locations/projects for instruction. This is a 12 month position running from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020
