A Touch of Jazz celebrates the musical style of the Big Band era, and features Yavapai College?s premier jazz bands, The Trailblazers, and The Rough Riders. Other styles of jazz that are subsequent to the dance music era, like bebop, hard bop, and afro-cuban jazz are spread equally in repertoire as well as excitement through out both groups. The performance styles of legendary jazz masters are explored through jazz standards, contemporary arrangements, and fiery original compositions in this musical celebration.
