An exciting way to spend Summer with your horse and earn college credit at the same time. AGE101 – Fundamentals of Riding This course provides the basics in pre-ride preparation, tacking, mounting, controlling and directing a horse at the walk and trot. There’s an emphasis on safety, fundamental patterns, and smooth transitions. Students will learn exercises to develop focus, feel and balance to create fluid synchronization between horse and rider. AGE 155 - Equine Driving This course provides the principles of driving horses. Subjects of study include picking the right horse, harness use and function, vehicle maintenance, styles of driving, training requirements, and competitions.
