The Heroes Among Us Awards honor military (active & veteran) and first responders who are making a difference outside of uniform in the Quad Cities area through volunteering. There are also awards for military spouse, first responder spouse and organization. Recipients are nominated by community members and chosen by a committee of peers. Nominations are accepted through Wednesday, October 15. The awards ceremony will be emceed by Prescott Police Chief Amy Bonney and Prescott Fire Chief Holger Durre. The event will include a delicious Italian dinner, keynote speech by a local hero (TBA), and silent & live auction. Cocktail attire is requested. All proceeds benefit the heroes and horses of Bethany's Gait Ranch, a 501(c)3 ministry in Chino Valley, AZ.
