Good Samaritan Hospice and Marley House

Health & Hospice

About Us

Available 24/7, Good Samaritan Society Hospice is the only non-profit, faith-based hospice in the Quad City area, offering home hospice care wherever you call home. The Marley House is our inpatient hospice unit, offering an extra level of care for our hospice patients when their caregivers need a respite from caregiving or if patients have symptoms that can't be managed easily at home and need some extra support for a short time to get them back home again.

Our hospice team is made up of caring professionals including our medical director, Dr. Fred Markham. Each patient has their own primary team which consists of a registered nurse who is the case manager and will coordinate the care, a social worker, spiritual counselor, bereavement counselor, home health aide, volunteer and even pet therapy. We also work with the patient’s physician if they would like to be kept in the loop.

Serving those who have served: We believe in honoring our Veterans on hospice service. As a member of the We Honor Veterans program, our team supports and celebrates our hospice patients (and their families) who have served our country through compassionate end-of-life care and honor ceremonies.
